AF review wins CCG award

Interface Clinical Services have partnered with Somerset CCG and industry sponsors to improve the management of people with Atrial Fibrillation (AF).

So far 14 practices have participated in the project with 4,312 patients identified for review.  This includes 507 patients who were identified as not being on the practices’ AF registers. The reviews are estimated to have prevented 20 strokes and saved the NHS £507,533*.

The review, which is still ongoing, has been recognised at the CCGs annual general meeting (AGM) with Clinical Networks Project Manager, Rachael Rowe, presented with an award for ‘Commissioning for Improvement’ which included recognition for the ongoing AF project.
