IQVIA Compliance & Data Protection Officer

The Data Protection Officer (DPO) role offers an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic and unique provider of clinical services to primary care in the UK. As part of a market leading organisation in the provision of clinical services to GP practices, the DPO will have play a key role in navigating challenges within Information Governance and Data Protection whilst working as part of a team to bring exciting and crucial patient care programmes from launch to completion. The role involves inter departmental liaison with commercial, design, project management and delivery teams across broad range of new and innovative healthcare projects ranging from supporting patients with long term health conditions to clinical research programmes in new treatment areas. You will work within a compliance and medical affairs department and will be directly supported by a data protection and compliance assistant.

    About the role

    Function:

    • To act as the appointed Data Protection Officer (DPO) for Interface Clinical Services.
    • To support the development of both internal and external regulatory activity ensuring all relevant company policy documents are kept updated.
    • To support the Head of Compliance and Medical Affairs in the areas of Information Governance (IG), Pharmacovigilance (PV) and Continuing Professional Development (CPD).

    Skills and experience we’re looking for:

    • Degree or Professional Industry experience
    • Professional Data Protection Qualifications
    • Work experience in data protection in the life sciences industry is a plus
    • Knowledge of data processing operations
    • Knowledge of Data Protection Act (2018) / GDPR.
    • Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence colleagues.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a close-knit team
