Meet The Directors
Here at Interface Clinical Services, we’re a rather large team made up predominantly of clinical pharmacists. We’re based all over the UK from West Lothian to Dartmoor, from Glamorgan to Antrim and of course, our home in good ol’ Leeds.
Whilst we’d love for you to meet each and every one of us, there’s simply too many of us. Here’s a few people you might want to get to know if you’re interested in working with, or for Interface Clinical Services.
Michael, also known as Mike, has worked in the healthcare sector for over 28 years, gaining extensive experience within the pharmaceutical industry. He finished his corporate tenure as General Manager for Chiesi Pharmaceuticals Ltd before founding Interface in 2004.
Mike is also the founder and Managing Director of Dene Healthcare, one of the largest suppliers of medical equipment and consumable products into the primary care sector.
Omar, a graduate in pharmacy with a Master’s degree received from the University of Strathclyde, joined Interface at the company’s inception in 2004. As Clinical Director, Omar is responsible for clinical governance and quality assurance throughout the organisation. Omar previously held pivotal roles managing community pharmacies for a flagship retailer and within the pharmaceutical sector, delivering treatment optimisation programmes in partnership with the NHS across the Primary Care sector.
Jim joined Interface in 2006, and as Commercial Director is responsible for the growth and development of the business. Jim has a strong understanding of the NHS marketplace, and in particular the commissioning agenda. Jim is a qualified pharmacist, with a career prior to Interface that spanned all sectors of pharmacy, both in the UK and internationally. Jim is passionate about the emerging roles of clinical pharmacists in primary care, and the use of intelligent 'real time' data to better inform commissioning and prescribing decisions.
Mark joined Interface in 2010 after holding a number of senior financial positions in a range of sectors over the last 25 years. As Operations Director and a certified accountant, Mark has responsibility for finance, human resources, information technology and the day to day operations of the company. Since joining Interface Mark has seen a significant increase in the volume of clinical services delivered to the primary healthcare sector.
Client Services Director
Steve joined Interface in 2013 with over 20 years experience in the healthcare sector. He has held senior roles within medical devices, wound care, pharmaceutical and homecare provider companies. Steve specialises in helping companies and healthcare provider organisations, such as the NHS, to work together effectively to maximise their potential by designing clinical services which deliver best in class clinical outcomes for patients.
Michael has financial and management experience in a number of corporate environments with a focus over recent years on the healthcare, medical and pharmaceutical sectors; including an 11 year tenure at Synexus Clinical Research, latterly as the Chief Executive Officer from 2006 to 2010. Michael took on the role of Non-Executive Director and Investor with Interface in 2012, advising on financial and operational aspects of the business.
Introducing HF Plus, a new service that provides additional heart failure support, delving deeper into the data to refine the diagnosis of all patients within the domain, including those with LVSD.
